Dear Reader,
It’s the last Wednesday of August, and the end-of-month post has started landing. Standing orders, an invoice somebody finally opened, the little run of figures that always arrives in this particular week.
Eight is the number of return. Money, standing, results, the harvest of things planted long enough ago that you’ve stopped watching for them.
Eight days often carry news about work or money — a payment, an offer, a decision made somewhere above your head.
Eight is also the number of what you privately believe you’re allowed to have. Whatever you say about money today lands harder than usual, including the things you only say to yourself.
Nothing has to be earned twice. If something arrives easily, that’s not suspicious.
You’re allowed to receive it.
