Dear Reader,
The ninth of the ninth, which is about as nine as a date gets, and the sum comes out at 1 anyway. The most closing-shaped morning on the calendar quietly turns out to be an opening.
One is the number of beginnings, and beginnings almost never announce themselves. They turn up as a thought you can’t put down, or a name that comes up twice before lunch.
So don’t go hunting for a grand opening. The small one is the real one.
A 1 day has a forward tilt. Things that have been sitting still may find a little room to move, and they tend to move without being pushed.
It can also feel solitary. One is the number of going first, and going first is quiet work. That isn’t the same as being on your own.
Nothing needs deciding. Just notice what’s beginning.
